Back to School Contest Winners Shop at Queensborough!

We launched Queensborough Landing Shopping Centre’s #BacktoSchoolwithQBL contest to give two lucky winners an opportunity to explore everything our shopping centre has to offer and to help them go back to school in style! What we got was two amazing winners and families that could not be more excited about their shopping sprees!

We received hundreds of submissions and loved reading everyone’s stories of why they are excited to go back to school this year; whether it was attending a new school for the first time, coming back after a summer break and excited to see friends, or even going back to school after a hiatus to continue their education! We thank everyone for sharing their stories and participating and hope that this back to school season is off to a great start!

GRAND PRIZE WINNER

Our grand prize shopping spree winner, Queen, couldn’t wait to go back to school to see all her friends! She was excited to be in the musical theatre program and hopefully compete in the Improv Games again. (Good luck!)

To help Queen look both fashionable and prepared with all the school supplies we took her shopping with the help of her mother Sarah. They enjoyed the variety of stores that Queensborough Landing has to offer finding it easy to get all the back to school shopping done in one trip!

RUNNER UP

Our shopping spree runner up were two amazing girls – Malia and Téa – one starting grade 3 and the other one starting grade 6 this year. With some help from their mom Kelly they had lots of fun running around shopping at the outdoor Queensborough Landing Shopping Centre and picking out outfits to start the new school year. It’s never too early to look fashionable and confident!

Their mom Kelly told us that her girls LOVE back to school shopping – they make it a very special mother/daughter day.

“We start with pedicures and do lunch and then hit all the stores at Queensborough Landing for everything we need. And of course, after we are exhausted from all the shopping…we relax at Starbucks.”

CONTEST RULES

Eligibility: This Contest is open only to those who follow @queensboroughsc (https://www.instagram.com/queensboroughsc/) on Instagram, post a story featuring an outfit from a retailer, taken at Queensborugh Landing AND tag Queensborough Landing by using @QueensboroughSC. The Contest is only open to legal residents of Canada and is void where prohibited by law. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited. The winners must be able to shop in-person at Queensborough Landing between April 3rd 2020 to April 15th 2020, excluding Saturday and Sunday.
Agreement to Rules: By participating, the Contestant (“You”) agree to be fully unconditionally bound by these Rules, and You represent and warrant that You meet the eligibility requirements. In addition, You agree to accept the decisions of Queensborough Landing Shopping Centre (“Queensborough Landing”) as final and binding as it relates to the content of this Contest.
Contest Period: Entries will be accepted online on Instagram starting on Thursday, March 19th 2020, and ending on Thursday, April 2nd 2020. All online entries must be received by Thursday, April 2nd at midnight PST.
Prizes: There will be two (2) Winners of the Contest. The Winners of the Contest (the “Winners”) will each receive a $300 shopping spree for Queensborough Landing. No cash or other prize substitution shall be permitted except at Queensborough Landing’s discretion. The prize is non-transferable. No substitution of prize or transfer/assignment of prize to others or request for the cash equivalent by Winners is permitted. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for Queensborough Landing to use the Winners’ names, likenesses, and entries for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
Odds: The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Winner Selection and Notification: Winners will be selected by a random drawing on Friday, April 3rd 2020. Winners will be notified by direct message on Instagram within two (2) business days following selection of Winners. Queensborough Landing shall have no liability for Winners’ failure to receive notices due to security settings or for Winners’ provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If either Winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize within 10 days from the time award notification was sent, the prize may be forfeited, and an alternate Winner may be selected. Receipt by Winner of the prize(s) offered in this Contest is conditioned upon compliance with any and all provincial, and local laws and regulations. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY EITHER WINNER AT QUEENSBOROUGH LANDING‘S SOLE DISCRETION WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION.
Rights Granted by You: By entering this Contest, You understand and agree that Queensborough Landing shall have the right, where permitted by law, to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use in any media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity, without limitation, your entry, name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, image, statements about the Campaign, and biographical information for news, publicity, information, trade, advertising, public relations, and promotional purposes, without any further compensation, notice, review, or consent.
Terms & Conditions: Queensborough Landing reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest should virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or other cause beyond Queensborough Landing’s control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Contest. In such case, Queensborough Landingmay select the Winners from all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by Queensborough Landing. Queensborough Landing has the right, in its sole discretion, to maintain the integrity of the Campaign, to void votes for any reason, including, but not limited to, the use of bots, macros, scripts, or other technical means for entering. Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil laws.
