Let’s get workout ready!

I can’t help but feel that this summer is flying by. August is already underway and Christmas feels like it will be here within a blink of an eye, which has me thinking back to some of my goals that I set back in December for the New Year. New Year’s resolutions are great, but if you forget about them then what’s really the point in setting them?

Call me basic if you’d like, but one of my goals was of course the most obvious, fitness! I set a goal to exercise regularly and try to make healthier decisions when it came to food. I’m SO happy to say that for once in my life, I’ve actually made this a priority and have been exercising regularly. I still have a long way to go, but don’t ever worry about what your scale may have to say to you. When you FEEL GOOD, you LOOK GOOD and that’s definitely a feeling worth chasing and working hard for.

Speaking of feeling good, when it comes to workout gear there are so many options out there! Let’s be honest, sometimes we find ourselves wearing our gear out whether we’ve actually worked out or not. It’s just so comfortable!

I’ve partnered with Queensborough Landing Shopping Centre and have put together an outfit from Garage that I’m totally obsessed with. I personally like to call it stylish workout gear. In sticking with the two things I always keep in mind while shopping, I selected the following pieces.

 

From the Top:

I’m obsessed with this “Girls Can Do Anything” graphic mesh tee because the slogan couldn’t be more true. An added bonus: it can be worn multiple ways. This tee can easily be worn over your sports bra (like I’ve worn it here), worn over a bralette, or over your bathing suit when you’re at the beach. I chose this top because it’s a loose, relaxed fit and it’s super lightweight.

 

To the Bottom:

I’ve paired this top with these black leggings. I chose these because I really like the striped mesh paneling -it adds the perfect touch of variety to this look. These leggings come up high on the waist and I absolutely love anything with a wide waistband. The last thing you want to worry about while working out is your leggings sliding down.

 

The final touch:

Last but not least, I grabbed this denim backpack from Garage as well. It caught my eye and I thought it was a fun piece to add to the look. I threw on my purple pom-pom keychain for a pop of colour and to break up this all black outfit.
